Who’s going to stop me?

One woman who is dear to my heart is my sister-in-law, Ashley. Many years ago, her mother received a beautiful Valentine’s day gift that she would forever treasure. Today, this strong woman is in Guatemala teaching youngsters at a Christian school. This post is about and for her. Ashley is one of the women who I admire, not only for her willingness and obedience to follow where the Lord leads her but also for her independence and love for people. She is a servant of the Lord, and though she has weaknesses and fears (like everyone) she trusts in our Father to meet her needs, provide for her, work through her, and teach her.

I wanted to make something special for you, Ashley. As my sister and role-model for servanthood – being a Proverbs 31 woman – here is a picture to depict how I see you – A God fearing woman ready to lead and follow.

Love you sis, and happy birthday! ❤

12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!  – 2 Cor. 9:12-15
